This has been just a terrible day for me. I already woke up later than I wanted. I really intended to really dive into some of my open commissions. Waking up late was a bit of an annoyance, but it wasn't that bad. I still got in my workout. First was the BodyRock Real Time Challenge Day 5, which is a 40 minute long routine that puts a lot of focus on abs, followed that with BodyRock Lean 8, 12 minutes interval training; and finished it with what I call 10 Minutes Weighted Batman Burnout. I was really sweaty, but I got in my stretches and a delicious protein shake that I make.

As I enjoyed my mocha latte protein shake, I was watching an episode of KILL LA KILL. I was still in need of a shower, but I wanted to prep some things first. I seasoned some salmon fillets for dinner, and put my home made turkey chili on the stove to warm up. I wanted it to be heated for a late lunch when I was done with my shower.

Well, I am just about ready to have a shower when the power in the whole house just goes out. Even the phone lines were dead. This had effected my neighbor for quite a few blocks out. I was eventually able to get hold of the power company, and they said it would take hours for the power to come back. There was no power or wifi in the house, and my Kindle Fire battery was nearly drained. I figured, I might as well go out to have my late lunch.

As I was driving, I dropped by a store along the highway for a few things. As with any store less than a week before Christmas, it was rather crowded and long lines. Just before I walked out, I noticed some of the lights flickering. I didn't think much of it and walked back to the car. Looking back over my shoulder, the power inside had gone completely out. I glanced around all the stores in the area and across the street, and everywhere was dark, except streetlights. It was as if all these places had shut down. I thought the power outage was following me. Thankfully, the deli a few miles down the road I planned to eat at wasn't having any problems. I called the power company again, and their estimate for having the power back was pushed up another hour.

I figured there's no point in going back if the power was out. I decided to take this chance to do some Christmas shopping. Now, you need to understand that I worked out today assuming that I wasn't going to be anywhere near this active later in the day. Anytime I was standing, I spend most of the day feeling nearly constant twinges of muscle pain in my core. Not to mention, I still had not had my post-workout shower. I was not at all comfortable.

Power was back when I arrived home. I baked the salmon and had it over a salad for my late dinner. I had my shower, and now I'm writing this journal as sort of a cathartic exercises. This was intended to be an incredibly productive day, and I got jack $%#@ done. I'm going to try and get to work tomorrow, but I just know that I'm going to spend all day paranoid as hell that the power will go out again and lose all the progress I'm working on. Still no idea about what caused the outage.

Hey, everyone.

I'm having a bit of an issue, and I thought this forum on the site might be able to assist me. I thought about posting this in the Complaints forum, but that seemed to be little more than childish ranting. I'm actually looking to accomplish something directly involving this site and some photos.

Sara, a friend of mine, used to be an editor for the comic news site. While there, she ended up doing some cosplaying photos for the fun of it. Really, I think they're some lovely looking photos. She's not a professional model and doesn't have these archived elsewhere.

However, here's the problem. A user on devArt, who is not the photographer of these photos, has been posting several of her pictures on devArt in their gallery, as if they were their own works. What bothers Sara the most is that her photos are being posted right along with pictures of very graphic nudity.
As an artist myself, I don't see the nudity being offensive, but I can certainly sympathize with her being uncomfortable with it.

Sara has tried contacting this user and the site about the misuse of these photos without her permission, but hasn't gotten any reply in over a month. She's asked for my help. I tried contacting someone on the site, but I've yet to hear anything. I also tried asking her to contact the real photographer of the pictures, but she's not sure she can get a hold of him now.

The fact this user has posted these images without anyone's permission starts to make me wonder if they took any of the photos they have posted. I didn't want to post the user name until I hear some suggestions.

I've had people try to post some of my art in the past as their own, and those seemed to be resolved rather quickly. I've never dealt with this issue and photography.
Hey, everyone.

I have a friend who's having some trouble with a particular user on devArt. It seems this person has posted photos of her without her permission and is not the photographer. The user is :iconmalivenom123: and the photos in question are of the former Comic Vine editor Sara Lima. Sara has tried contacting the user, the devArt officials, but hasn't had any responses in over a month.

I'm sort of putting out the call to you all to see if you might have any suggestions. It's really upsetting her that her cosplaying photos are being displays without her permissions by someone who didn't take these pictures, and displaying them along with nude photography. I even down this user has posted any of the photos they're displaying.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to help my friend get these photos removed?

Commission: Jedi Tankette by FoxxFireArt
Commission: Jedi Tankette
Commission: Jedi Tankette

This is a commission that I was hired to create by :iconrbl-m1a2tanker: and recently completed. I drew an original Jedi character. I mainly went by some of the artwork I saw of how this character had previously been drawn and took a few liberties here and there. Her outfit has a bit more of a Han Solo rogue-esque style, so I went with that as inspiration.

I also tried something a little new to mimic the glow of the light saber in a black and white form. I hope everyone enjoys it, and I'd always like to hear your comments on the piece.
