Downfall and Revival of a Computer

Thu Jul 2, 2009, 9:32 PM
Well, a few weeks back I shut down my computer properly. I brushed my teeth and then went to bed. Like with every morning, I woke up to turn my computer on and nothing happened. It seemed my computer went the way of scripted television. That's right, my computer died. There was a short in the power supply, it took out the processor and the motherboard, and caused some damage to the hard drive. Hopefully, I should be able to save all the art files I had on my computer. Like a moron I hadn't backed up a lot of my art onto CD for over a year.
Sadly, I had to buy a new computer. My brother was able to hook me up with a 'very' nice video card. I also enjoy this sleek keyboard. It's taking some getting used to though.
I know it shouldn't of taken two weeks to do all this, but it seems that in on the computer I bought the Vista programs weren't loaded properly and they didn't package the disks I needed to fix that problem. So I had to make a few calls and wait a work week for the CDs to arrive.

Currently, my biggest problem right now is that the art software I was using is not Vista compatible. Seems when you try to work in layers on Vista it will freeze. I am now on the hunt for a new art software program that is Vista compatible and compatible with a graphic tablet, which I'm looking into. I'm going to have to hunt for some software demos to find what works for me. I've been hearing some good things about a software called "manga studio".

For the past two weeks, which I have been without my own computer, I have been trying to keep myself busy drawing. Sadly, I couldn't work on my commissioned work. All my reference material for those were on my computer. I should be able to retrieve some of those now.
Let's what I've been up to up to today. I have drawn, but not colored for:
5 Code Geass 4komas (Yeah, five of them)
3 X-Men 4komas
1 FoxxFire Art 4koma
Adler's Prelude comic (2 pages so far with more to come.)

So at least you know now that a art flood is coming. The 'Adler's Prelude' comic is more of a short story then the previous ones. This is the story of how both Yuriko and Adler got their names.

Hope you all can be patient with me for a while longer.

I just had a thought, since Geass is done, are you going to make the komas for another anime or will that be the end of them? Please don't say it will be the end! Your too funny!
I'm planning 4komas of my own characters, X-Men, and possibly Resident Evil.

I doubt that version would. I got that years ago.
