This is kind of my idea of hope after the events of the Eva story. Sort of what I see happening after the events of EoE movie. I always like the idea of Asuka having a child. Asuka's child has the same hair color and pigtails as Asuka wore as a child. They are standing in a field looking to the sky.
You should notice that Asuka's hair is loose an down. I did that, because she's more grown. A girl can't always wear her hair in pigtails. There are going to be fans who will say that Asuka never wanted kids. That's kind of the point. In this image she grows up and has a child.
Those of you who are detailed oriented should notice the perspective of the picture. I really wonder if anyone is going to catch the meaning behind it without me saying. I look forward to peoples thoughts on this image.
I drew this by hand and did all the coloring on my computer. I did use the computer to color the clouds.
O.O!!!!!! omGOSH!!!!!! the Sky o.O!!!! it's GORGEOUS!!! wow this looks like it was off a high quality anime video... the colored are soo darn vibrant... and i love the poses of the little girl and the woman... very nice, the proportions are all in tact here and the picyure is such eye candy ^^

True escape comes only when you surrender your all to the Lord. allow him to come in and fight all your battles and watch as he relinguihes you from all the problems of this world
Well drawn and even though I do not necessarilly think Asuka would have a child, I am sure she would at least be a better mother than her own mother was.

Abi-Hime, my love forever. Your wounds are my wounds, your pain is my pain.
Kaguya-Hime, I shall never forsake you again like I have before. I will always remember your name forever. We shall all stay close.
I think she would have a child. I remeber when I was her age. I didn't like kids at all. Didn't like them near me and I swore I'd never have any. Things changed though as I grew up. I softened a great deal on the idea of having a child and now I wouldn't mind having a child one day.
That's why I thought of this images is about having hope for the future. She growns up, becomes happy with herself, and has a child. there she has a clean slate. Sins of the old are washed away and a new life starts.
(curious, I just rewatched EoE and went through several webpages of analysis last night) Yeah, I just can't seem to agree with you on this scenario. That's all I'll say about that. ^~;;
I am seriously left wondering who the dad is. Not that there isn't something potentially amusing about Asuka finding out she had a surviving empty vessel-type clone in the aftermath. XD XD
As for the perspective .....shoot, humm. Well my first thought was how it's angled to give the illusion of mass (but then, we aren't looking at Evas). The sky is fairly intriguing but random (it's not like the clouds form any imagery). I was wondering if the scenery somehow alluded to the GeoFront, though not particularly. Perhaps it was something with how the grass in the extreme foreground obscures their feet? I dunno that's like saying Asuka and the kid are trees (of life?) emerging from the ground. XD; Or maybe there was an eerily angelic motif going on? (like the first set of end credits in Death and Rebirth?) ||| You can tell I'm being persistent about this- you SAID this was for detail-orientated people(!) XD;;; ||| Maybe you were trying to recreate an angled shot that was used prevelently in the show? .......or is it something far more simple and light? Like how Asuka's introduction in the show is immediately followed by the wind blowing her skirt up…? ^_^;
Gah, well that's all I've got. Nice picture - I really like the intense range of highlights and darks and how smooth you got all of it.

I think the father should be a bit obvious from my first comments on this image. I still do think she would have a child. It's about the events of EoE. No matter how bad things seemed. She found hope and happiness. Through that she had a child. It's like the slate was clean and things got to start over. She was able to give what she never got to have.
The key to the perspective it's too complex. It was designed to slightly mimic the first appearence of Asuka, but the moment she's standing on the carrier.
You are close with the grass being in the foreground and how close it appears. A small hint: Also think about the angle they are standing in.
I'm glad you enjoyed the picture. I'm also pleased someone took a shot at trying to find the key in it.
