Well, since I finished by 4koma for the week rather early I thought it was about time I colored in my picture of C.C. I'm rather pleased how this one turned out. The hardest part was getting that bright glow right. I think I found a nice balance.
No major spoiler here since this is how she looks in the first episode. She was trapped in a container that was thought to hold poisonous gas. She was being held strapped in this weird sort of full body jacket. It does come across as a fetish thing, doesn't it?
This moment in the series had this kind of beauty and elegance. I wanted to show that in the pose. In the color I want to show her depth.
My original sketch was rather static and boring. I found by changing my angle slightly I got something a lot more interesting.
It was rather annoying working out that pose. More so the neck. I'm still not sure if it came out quite right.
I don't know if it's just me, but my eyes keep getting drawn to her ass.
